LLA: 14.0408 N 120.8011 E 811 MASL
Days required / Hours to summit: 1 day / 2-4 hours
Mt. Batulao is situated in Nasugbu, Batangas. It stands at 811+ meters above sea level, and is a 2-3 hour drive from the busy city of Manila. Since it is tagged as a minor climb we decided to do a weekend overnight hike for my son and we chose this mountain since it is very accessible.
For new trail, I think we spent 90 pesos for 3 registrations. From Jump off to Tatay Resting.
A new structure built in Peak 7, according to the locals it is suppose to be a DENR Station

How to Get to Mt. Batulao
By Bus: Take a bus bound for Nasugbu – Lemery. Inform the conductor that you’ll be going to Mt. Batulao. Exit the bus when you get to Evercrest Golf Course in Lemery, Batangas. Travel time is roughly 2 to 3 hours depending on the traffic.
Once you get to Evercrest, you can either walk or take a tricycle going to the jump-off point which is Php 20.00 per head. In our case, since we ran out of budget, we walked from Evercrest going to the jump-off point.
Private transportation: Going by car is also easy: just go to Tagaytay via SLEX (take Sta. Rosa or Mamplasan-LIIP exit and follow through) and make a right turn upon reaching the Tagaytay Rotonda, going all the way beyond Tagaytay Public Market and past the marker welcoming you to Nasugbu. Evercrest is just a little past KM. 72. Inside Evercrest, go straight then make a left turn. You can either park in the village (take the right, downward road) or follow through and randomly park in the road, or fall for some ‘parking spaces’ that locals have created for P50-100/day.
