MANILA GIRL
The 5-hour Manila DIY Tour
Manila is just half an hour away from our house in Sucat. It was a typical day that our plan was just to go in Mall of Asia, but instead we found ourselves here.
We bought entrance tickets at P75 per adult (50 children) and gallivanted at Fort Santiago. It is considered to be the citadel of Intramuros. It is one of the oldest Hispanic stone fortresses and one of the most important historical sites in the Philippines.
Who says visiting heritage sites can be boring? We had fun taking photos at the Fort's garden!
Travelling to Intramuros is a great way to appreciate the rich history of the Philippines. Intramuros was built 300 years ago by Spaniards when the Philippines was still a colony of Spain. It is the original Manila enclosed within the walls.
Next stop is my old time favorite, MANILA ZOO.
Manila Zoo is located along Adriatico St., corner Quirino St., Manila, the main entrance of the zoo is fronting the Playground for Manila youth. It has a land area of 5.5 hectares.
